Addiction
Addiction can affect many areas of a person’s life, including relationships, work, finances, physical and emotional wellbeing, and day-to-day functioning. It can be difficult to recognise or change patterns of substance use or behaviours, particularly when they have become a way of coping with stress, difficult emotions, trauma, relationships or other challenges.
Our counselling provides a confidential, compassionate and non-judgemental space for people experiencing addiction or harmful patterns of substance use or behaviour. You do not need to feel ashamed or have everything figured out before seeking support. Counselling can help you better understand what is happening, explore the factors contributing to addictive patterns and identify practical steps towards positive and sustainable change.
Addiction can involve substances such as alcohol or drugs, as well as behaviours that have become difficult to control or are negatively affecting your life. Everyone's experience is different, and counselling is tailored to your individual circumstances, needs and goals.
