Stress Management & Burnout

Stress is a natural response to the demands and challenges of everyday life. In small amounts, stress can help us respond to challenges and get things done. However, when stress becomes ongoing or overwhelming, it can begin to affect our physical and emotional wellbeing, relationships, work and ability to enjoy everyday life.

Burnout can develop when prolonged stress and pressure leave you feeling emotionally and physically exhausted, overwhelmed or unable to keep up with the demands around you. You may feel constantly tired, irritable, unmotivated, disconnected or as though you are simply running on empty. Recognising these signs early and seeking support can be an important step towards restoring balance and wellbeing.

Counselling provides a supportive space to explore what is contributing to your stress and understand the patterns, pressures and circumstances that may be affecting you. Together, you can identify what is within your control, explore what may need to change and develop realistic strategies that fit your circumstances.
